1) Can I see your credit report? I believe that when you are engaged and planning on getting married, it is important that both parties know what they are getting themselves into. Especially in the area of finances. Put it all out on the table. If you have to hide something when you are engaged, you will continue to hide things once you are married.
2) How are engaged couples going to handle emergency situations when they don't have any money? This one is so crucial that it can actually cause division in a marriage. If the couple does not have any money and an emergency arise, where are they going to turn? Some might say their parents, friends or even co-workers. Either way, this needs to be discussed prior to marriage so that both parties can agree on a resolution.
3) If you have elderly parents, what provisions have been made to assist with their care? Many times when elderly parents need care, it falls on the shoulder of one of their adult children even if they have more than one adult child. This can cause stress and strain on a marriage. Discuss in the engaged state what the solutions and/or recommendations should be.
